When I read the word of the day the first thing that came to my mind was how life can be going a certain direction and then abruptly change paths. This disrupt of life is probably one of the most challenging I have dealt with in my 43 years. The life of good health becoming disrupted by bad health. Learning to deal with the changes and excepting this new road seems daunting many days. Waking up to the reality that I can no longer do the things I once did. My children don’t even remember when I was well and strong and that saddens me even more. Being sick really disrupts the flow of the way the family unit runs. It effects finances, food shopping, meals, school runs, school activities, I could go on and on. What I have to remember though is that it does not have to disrupt the love we share with each other. It can actually make closer and stronger family bonds. So when your life is disrupted for whatever reason, don’t give up. Know that others are experiencing the same thing and that you are not alone. Disrupted maybe, but not alone.
